GUNTHER TAUTENHAHN's music has been performed in 40 countries, including CD's and DVD's.  From all of his compositions he will most likely be remembered for his work "WE THE OP. 200 PEOPLE", putting the U.S. CONSTITUTION and the DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE to music. He  is one of the most original and prolific composers between the two Millenniums 1900-2000. His compositions include: "NIGHT NOT SO SILENT", a new version of "SILENT NIGHT"; a "REQUIEM" simultaneously sung in four different languages; and "PIANO MARATHON"  using whole notes only.

"MILLENNIUM VIOLIN CONCERTO", where each movement is orchestrated differently;  "CORINNA'S FLOWER", an opera beyond the natural desires of two female lovers; "SOLO CONCERTO" a concerto for Viola and Orchestra, where the soloist and orchestra never play simultaneously; “A FIFTH OF TAUTENHAHN" for orchestra in which as soon as one instrument or a section of the orchestra has played 5 consecutive notes a rest of different durations always follows.

"AN APPETITE FOR SILENCE" for Orchestra consists of 195 territorial songs, each song representing one country; "MAGNUM CONCERTO"  where the first two movements are dynamically controlled triple concertos, the third movement a quintet concerto and the complete score is written using whole notes only.

These are some compositions which illustrate why MUSIC WILL NEVER BE THE SAME AFTER GUNTHER TAUTENAHN.
